Laura Brooks

Laura grew up in a farming district in Tasmania. There were always many pets in the house and she initially pursued her interest in animals by studying zoology at the University of Tasmania, Hobart. She also studied languages in an arts degree – she has always had the attitude of keeping her options open and pursuing multiple skills and interests. Further study took her on to veterinary science at Murdoch where she is most interested in large animals and exotics. After graduation, travelling the world and experiencing veterinary work in different countries is her main goal. Laura became a member of the VBMA committee 2008 to broaden her horizons and hopefully help others do the same!
